How do I receive email notifications about PokerStars server restarts?

Explains how to receive an email notification when a PokerStars server restart is scheduled.

PokerStars server restarts allow us to release new features, apply fixes and maintain system stability throughout the year.

If you join the server restart mailing list, we will send email notifications before planned server restarts whenever possible.

Who receives server restart email notifications?

Restart notifications are only sent to players who meet all three of the following requirements:

• The player has recently been active on PokerStars
• The player has entered the Star Code to join the mailing list
• The player has agreed to receive Poker communications

How do I opt in to the PokerStars server restart mailing list?

You can follow these steps to opt in to the PokerStars server restart mailing:

PokerStars desktop

This applies to:

• Windows software
• macOS software

Follow these steps:

1. Open the PokerStars software
2. Log in to your PokerStars account
3. Press 'Tools'
4. Pick 'Star Code'
5. Enter the Star Code 'ServerRestart'
6. Press 'Submit'

Enable Poker communications (desktop)

You must allow Poker marketing communications.

Follow these steps in the software:

Settings → Global → Marketing Communications → Poker → Yes

If you are on the PokerStars website, you can follow these steps to opt in to the PokerStars server restart mailing list:

If you are using the PokerStars website, follow these steps.

1. Log in to your account.
2. The Star Code section will open.
3. Enter the Star Code ServerRestart.
4. Select Apply.

 

Enable Poker communications (website)

You must also allow Poker communications in your account settings.

Follow this path:

Settings → Communication Preferences → Poker → Yes

PokerStars mobile app

This applies to:

• Android app
• iOS app

The option to enter a Star Code isn't available in the PokerStars mobile app.

If you no longer want to receive restart notifications, you can leave the mailing list using the Star Code NoServerRestart.
