He cops a wise gate this time, but will appreciate the extra furlong. He has each-way claims in an even field. STARCHASER (7) went close to breaking through before a nine-month spell, ending with a second placing over 1000m at Pinjarra Scarpside earlier in the year. He has trialled impressively for her new trainer leading into her return, and with the winkers on for the first time, she should go close to picking up her first win here. DARK AVALANCHE (1) is a locally trained maiden who hasn’t raced since placing over 1400m here six-and-a-half months ago. He will be ready to race after a recent trial placing and is worth including in all combinations. MYSTIC EMPRESS (14) did nothing on debut in her only run as a juvenile in June, but has looked better at a recent trial. She is stronger now, and having Chris Parnham in the saddle will negate the wide gate.
