CORPS D'ELITE (14) has been disappointing this season after showing promise as a 3-year-old. She is now strong enough to cope with a middle distance and won't lack fitness. She meets the right sort of field, and a form reversal is on the cards. SHOCKABELLA (15) set the pace and fought gamely for third at Timaru last time out. She has a slightly better gate this time and will drop 2.5kg. Bruno Queiroz sticks with her, and so do we. HENRY THOMAS (3) got the job done by a half a length when clearing his maiden status at Ashburton 3 weeks ago. He has been handled patiently and looks to have a real future over ground. He has the scope to take the next step immediately. WAL (2) beat a handy field at Reefton last week and was ridden far more positively, which led to his form reversal. He has always had talent, and can now hold his good form. Stick with him. DIORESSENCE (10) has been mixing her form, and is returning after an 8-week freshen up that would have done her no harm. Each way.
