GOLD CHARIOT (8) was slow away on debut but hit the line hard to grab second, a neck behind the winner, over 1530m at Geelong 16 days ago. He cops a tougher gate, but has Craig Williams in the saddle this time, and he should be tough to beat with that run in hand. SCORPION (6) just peaked on his run fresh up at Werribee nearly 2 weeks ago, and he should go close to taking this out, especially if the track is wet. REDWOOD LANE (10) makes his debut after winning his most recent jumpout at Cranbourne earlier in the month. He has a tricky gate, but can still make a positive start to his career. Check the markets. HARRY CAVIAR (3) needed his fresh up start at Albury, and will be a lot sharper for this. Each way value. MOONBOLT (5) shows promise and only needs some luck from a wide gate to be a top 4 chance again.
