PARTY BOSS (6) resumes for local trainer Gary Colvin and picks up a key booking in McDougall, who knows him well. Enjoyed a strong campaign last time in and if he returns in similar order, he’ll take plenty of stitching. PAPARAZZO (2) has become the perennial bridesmaid, finishing runner-up in his last four, each by narrow margins. Draws perfectly on the inside and doesn’t need to improve much to finally land one. SARGEANT STAN (3) resumes for the Stubbs yard and remains lightly raced. Just the one trial off a 266-day break, so he may need the run but he’s shown ability in five starts, including a dominant maiden win in April. A bold return wouldn’t shock. MISSILE DEFENCE (4) was terrific fresh at Orange on November 21 when missing by a lip. Hasn’t quite gone on with it since but is worth keeping safe.
