SURFSIDE SESSION (2) is looking for a hat-trick following a strong performance in this grade last time out, winning by 0.5L after setting the tempo. Up to 1200m for the first time today, but if he can slide across and dictate from the front, he'll be tough to run down once again. KRAKEN TIME (4) was back to 1000m last start and just missed behind Surfside Session, but he does meet that horse better at the weights this time. He's proven at the trip and if he gets a touch of luck from the barrier, he can turn the tables. MOHEGAN RULER (9) was sound first-up in that same race when flashing home late. Fitter for that performance and getting out in trip slightly looks a big tick. Likely to be back again but if the speed is on, he'll be storming home over the top. AMERICAN ESCAPE (6) looks a nice mare on resumption despite a disappointing end to last campaign. Can feature on resumption. BARTIME (7) is next best.
