STATEWIDE (12) was a little slow to begin at Northam but it didn't matter as he bolted in to break his maiden. He'd been G3 placed prior to the break and he looks ready to get back to that level now. 1400m is a big tick and he's good enough to beat the older horses in this grade. NICCIANA (13) resumed with a dominant win at Northam last week, sitting on the speed and winning by 2.1L. He looks to have plenty of ability and he's in work at the right time, suggesting the stable have a high opinion of him. Finds a suitable race and he can go to the next level. HYMNS OF ELADDAIR (2) is racing in good order this time in and looks ready to peak third-up. Will need some luck from the barrier but if the breaks come, he'll be right in the finish again. PREMIUM GIRL (6) won first-up last campaign without a trial and comes here off a similar scenario. Has to be included. AIN'TSOBAD (8) is in the mix on recent performances.
