LET ME LOOSE (4) finished fifth as the favourite here 12 days after finding the front and weakening late over 1400m. She has the blinkers on this time, and with a big swing in her draw over 1200m, she can take them all the way here. SERENDIPITOUS (8) seems to have needed both of her runs in the South Island after relocating from the North at the start of the season. There will be no such excuses third up, and she is set to pay the believers in this. MY SHARONA (5) was put aside after having 1 South Island start at Oamaru in July. She is looking for some firmer surfaces and is good enough to grab a slice of the finish here. FAH RONG (1) ran boldly for fourth fresh up at Wingatui a fortnight ago. She needed that hit-out, and is expected to improve quickly. Each way value. SHAMEFUL (2) produced some mixed performances on the poly track at Riccarton and should have strengthened up again over his short spell. With some luck from a wide gate, he is not the worst for a place at odds.
