Another open race. THE OPEN (10) has teased a win this preparation without doing so, finishing in the first four in all four runs. He was beaten a length in a similar race last start and maps nicely from a good gate. Can break through. YELLOW SAM (8) won the Golden Topaz at Swan Hill fresh, firm in the market there and getting home by a head. No issue out to 1400m and her record second up (and overall) is very good. LIM'S SALTORO (3) has been rock solid in two runs back from Singapore, beaten just 1.5 lengths by Jimmy The Bear here last start. That's good form and he should be at peak fitness now. RUNNING BY (6) was well backed onto a drier track at Sandown Hillside second up and ran well in third. Only needs a good ride from the draw to go a couple better. RUN HARRY RUN (5) comes through the same race and is another with each way claims.
