Verdict

TYCOON STAR (3) was brilliant, only narrowly defeated into second in the Vain Stakes at this track in the first run of the campaign. He displayed a dynamic turn of foot, and with added fitness, he profiles well for this. DEVIL NIGHT (1) was last seen in the Golden Slipper when he ran fairly, finishing a well-beaten fifth. Before that, he won the Blue Diamond at his second start and must be a leading chance based on that effort. VINROCK (2) resumes after a fantastic win in the Sires Produce. He won on debut over this distance, but is evidently going to be superior over further than this. JIMMY RECARD (4) was a strong winner last start in the Vain Stakes, poking up the inside to win. He had the advantage of fitness there, and some of his opposition may have the advantage now. MCGAW (6) resumes and is a talented gelding.
