Progressive over 3m this season, winning Aintree handicap prior to twice getting the better of Strong Leader, not doing much in front when scoring by a length in Grade 1 Long Walk at Ascot latterly. Travelled through the race impressively that day and looks capable of landing the 4-timer.

Useful staying novice who advanced his form when winning in good style on handicap debut/reappearance here (old course) in October. Clearly not 100% in the Betfair Stayers' and straight back on the up when winning C&D handicap on New Year's Day. Progressive sort should hold his own upped in class.

Smart stayer who wasn't at his best when fourth in this race last year but has proved better than ever this season, winning Grade 2 at Wetherby on reappearance prior to losing little in defeat behind Impose Toi at Newbury/Ascot. Looks sure to give another good account.

Winner of Pertemps Final at the Festival in March and has advanced his form since, running to a similar level on all 3 starts in graded company this season, though he was out of contention a long way from home when again held by Impose Toi/Strong Leader in Grade 1 Long Walk at Ascot last time.

Second in Grade 2 Relkeel here last year prior to running out a game winner of this race (two main rivals disappointed). Shaped as if retaining all of his ability this season, finishing fourth in stronger renewal of the Relkeel (2½m) on New Year's Day. Back up in trip but needs a career-best.

Useful handicap hurdler who ran to a similar level switched to fences this season and did all he could back over hurdles when fifth in 6-runner Relkeel (2½m) here on New Year's Day. Steps back up in distance but is likely to fall short again in graded company.
