Cork

This looks pretty open and it's worth siding with OHAILBHIC, who ended last season's truncated campaign on something of a low-key note but he caught the eye on a couple of occasions off higher marks than this in 2024 (including on his seasonal reappearance) and shapes as though this intermediate trip could be ideal.

5¾ lengths eighth of 9 to Oujda in listed race at the Curragh (6f, good to soft, 9/2) when last seen in October. Won 3 times in 2024, including on her seasonal reappearance, and she will have a chance if ready to roll this time round, too.

First run since leaving Jane Chapple-Hyam and hooded for 1st time (also worse a first-time tongue strap) when winning 9-runner maiden at Dundalk (8f) 39 days ago. 0-9 on turf but conditions won't be a problem and she's a must for the shortlist.

    Verdict
Last of 6 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, good to firm, 4/1). Off 8 months (gelded in the interim) and he's not without hope judged on what he showed in a couple of 6f Naas handicaps last season. This will be his first try at 7f and it could prove to be ideal.
