Verdict

MORE TROUBLE (6) has raced well all prep and is bursting to win one. Flashed home but just failed to pick up the winner in a Class 3 over 1680m at Ipswich last start. Up in grade but gets in with 4.5kgs less. Hard to beat in an open affair. SPANISH FOX (1) was well held last time out at Ipswich when five weeks between runs. Finding hard to get going this prep but the addition of blinkers and a longer journey today might spark a revival. I'M HEROIC (4) was very good first-up in a BM68 at the Gold Coast then found the company too rich in a Magic Millions race last start. Needs this sort of trip now. Best form comes on a soft track so if it dries out his chances diminish. SIR BEVERIDGE (9) made it two wins from his last three outings when he bolted in over 1666m at Ipswich recently. Tackling some better types here but on the limit weight he makes plenty of appeal. NAVAL SEAL (3) hasn't been far away at his last couple and on his day is good enough to win a race like this.
