APULIA (3) was first up off a year-long spell at Moonee Valley but ran on for an impressive win, settling last on a quick track and powering home to score over 1496m. He should only be fitter for that rising slightly in trip and if the inside section is holding up he'll take beating. MAJOR BEEL (5) is one that can be an improver second up. He did enough fresh over the Randwick mile with 60kg when fading late, but his second-up form reads very well for this and any give in the ground will only suit better. OH TOO GOOD (6) is a consistent mare who keeps racing well, midfield in a G2 Crystal Mile last start. Sets up nicely from the gate here in a slightly easier affair. NEW ENDEAVOUR (1) resumes. He got over a bit further last time in but largely raced in good company and can run a race fresh. PONDALOWIE (12) is going well and importantly draws a gate now.
