LA DIVINA (4) debuted in a stronger maiden than this at Pakenham, kept very safe in betting there at $5.50 and running a solid race, finishing midfield. This should suit better and up to 1440m will be no issue. Expect she's hard to hold out. VENUS SHOCK (10) is a filly by Shocking on debut for the Hayes yard. She won a recent trial at Bendigo and looks to have good ability. She'll likely get further in time but this is a good starting point. RUSSIAN DUCHESS (6) improved nicely at her second outing when getting into second here. Better for that again and gets the favours from the inside. SKYDREAM (7) wasn't beaten all that far in seventh in town last time and this should be easier. SUCCAFORYOU (8) struggled fresh but can improve off that.
