SOUTHLAND (7) was impressive here 10 days ago, scoring by 1.4L over the 1107m journey. He looks a very nice horse on the way up and the inside draw should see him get every chance out in trip. Drops slightly in weight today despite the good win last time out. Can go back-to-back. THE RUSH (2) was slowly away from the wide alley but finished off well to be 1.8L off the winner at the finish. The rise in trip should suit and she boasts a good second-up record. Yuill remains in the saddle and with improvement on the cards, she makes plenty of appeal. SPARKLE CORNER (6) will find this much easier than what he's been racing in, finishing well back at Belmont last time out. Back to this level third-up is a good move and he's a third-up winner in the past. Draws ideally and can bounce back to form. UNDERCOVER SNIPER (8) missed last time out but was in good touch prior. Faithfull hops on board now and he's not to be discounted. SOUTHERN SCANDAL (5) has to be included off his last start win.
