MARATHIA (8) was an easy Maiden winner and then resumed at Dalby in a 70 and needed the outing. Followed with a narrow defeat at Warwick in a 62 and from an inside gate she can return to the winners' list. HELL OF A LAD (4) resumes for a new yard and is a winning chance if presented on song. He's placed 2/2 fresh and will jump from the inside barrier having his first start at the track. The betting will be key. VELOCE METEOR (3) resumes back in grade with a handy 3kg claim. Races well here and owns a Beaudesert trial win. He can come late. RUSSIAN PINS (9) raced on the course proper here last time and was beaten less than 2L in a 60. Races forward and may go on with it now. BEACHSIDE BABE (5) was much better beaten just 1.2L here in a 65 and that reads well enough. Draws awkwardly but the 2kg claim is handy this grade.
