LA PELAGO (8) has been kept fresh since a disappointing effort in a similar race to this at Tamworth five weeks ago. Has won three races and all have come at today's trip. Best form is good enough so give her another chance. LADY OLENNA (9) lined up for only the second time when an easy maiden winner over 900m at Scone last time out. Has a strong SP profile so there is plenty of confidence around this filly from a good stable. Can take this next step. The flying TOO DARN LOVELY (4) showed a glimpse of form recently when she led but found a couple better over this trip at Quirindi. Cherry ripe now and will give them something to catch. EL BEATLE (11) has a fine top-three strike rate over 1000m so include him in the exotics. WHISTLING STRAITS (5) resumes. Progressed nicely during the maiden prep and is capable of making an immediate impact.
