PERFECT PLAY (1) resumes and although he hasn’t tasted success for some time, he is too talented to ignore. Will improve over further but this looks like an ideal starting point. Has been readied with two trials and gets a handy weight relief with the claim. Major player. COSMIC LAD (3) was safely held last start but that run may have been better than it appears on paper. Drops back to a more suitable trip and his peak ratings have him right in the mix. TAYTAY BAY (9) didn’t handle the heavy going last start but his prior form is good enough to be competitive here. With the 3kg claim he looks a sneaky hope at big odds. LE MANS (2) resumes after a mixed last prep but has been given two quiet trials and draws kindly. Capable of a bold fresh run. IRISH BLISS (8) doesn’t win often but has the figures to be competitive and can run on into the finish with the right tempo.
