ALABAMA CHARM (5) overcame a slow start to power home and be beaten under a length when resuming over 1300m at Coonamble last start. Twice placed at the provincials last prep and also finished second in the rich Wellington Boot. Fitter and looks ready to win. SALOON PASSAGE (8) did her best work late on debut recently over 1300m at this track. Nicely drawn and over the extra 100m today will be difficult to hold out. PIERRO LAD (2) hasn't been far away in his two runs to date, both in town. Big chance back at this level. REIGN OF HONOR (6) jumped an odds-on favourite on debut at Hawkesbury following some good trials coming into his debut. He wasn't disgraced there however and he's likely to be better for that run. Can make his presence felt.
