OTONO (4) has contested three Randwick Midways this prep and been competitive without threatening each time. Raced once over this course and distance and scored a barnstorming win in a BM64 last prep. Very fit and this looks the perfect assignment. EXTRAVAGANT CHOICE (7) stepped up to the mile for the first time this prep at Albury last time out and did a fair job under a big weight. Gets in well today and Penza taking over from a 3kg claimer is a positive move. CLUBMAN (3) has been freshened up and gets the shades on for the first time after a couple of average efforts over longer trips. Nicely in with the claim and can play a major role. Last start Newcastle maiden winner BUCKENARA (6) is taking on a far deeper race today but has potential.
