UNCLE BARRY (2) last appeared over this distance three runs back when beaten in a photo at this track, closing the race off with great purpose. Has done okay in two subsequent runs over 900m. The one to beat back to this more suitable journey. APOLLO RIDGE (1) returns from a 172-day spell. Opened last prep with a close second over this distance at Wyong after leading most of the way. Has won two recent trials so looks set for a big start to the campaign. BOLD ALLIANCE (6) is a Bivouac filly on debut. Two recent trials have been very good. No surprise to see an immediate impact. DON'T DOUBT DARCY (3) is a D'Argento three-year-old on debut. Has trialled twice and won them both so he looks to have his share of talent. HINZEL (4) is another first starter who is doing enough in the trials to suggest he can do something here.
