THE TRINE (5) showed plenty in his brief initial preparation and looked a run short resuming here beaten 1.5L. He can use the inside gate and the top hoop sticks aboard. Fitter and he's ready to win. VERHOEVEN (6) resumes and has switched from a top Melbourne yard. He's raced well in stronger than this and has trialled well here with race rider Pires aboard. Should be ready to go but has an outside gate to manage. REGAL HUNTER (4) debuts and just missed at Longford in his latest trial. Maps well and Muhcu remains aboard. HALEN (1) gives away starts but has some ability and has been kept up to the mark with a trial placing. Third up and we may see more from him.
