Verdict
Small field but some handy types stepping out in the opener. HARMONIC DANCER (4) is back in SA after trialing in Victoria recently. He was beaten as the $1.45 favourite in his only run as a two-year-old last campaignm but was hardly disgraced. He clearly has ability and, with natural improvement, he can win this. MISS SGHIRRIPA (6) led and won well in a provincial maiden last start. She's got plenty of early toe and might be able to control this race. She can give a bit of cheek. DAMPEN (3) is another on-pacer worth some thought. He folded up late against the older horses last start. Back to 3YO grade and back to 1100m both look like positives. GOLDEN HORIZON (1) can run well on the seven day back-up after a nice return last week, while COMMON INTEREST (2) is progressive and can measure up. He did a bit wrong when winning on debut and can't afford to do that here.
