ESCAPE BEACH (9) led into the straight before fading out over 1615m at Doomben. She's improved at Ipswich prior and this is easier than those contests. Will go forward and should prove hard to beat. PIERANT (3) got well back over 1400m at Gold Coast last time and never threatened. Peaks for this and is better placed. Will be hitting the line over the longer trip. EXODINI (4) turned in a much better run at his second appearance finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner over 1400m at Gatton. Has a wide gate but he's an improver nearing a win. Progressive type who is nearing a win. MONTE CARLO MISS (10) came from the back and wasn't far away at Kilcoy over 1200m. That effort suggests she will run out the 1553m and from the inside barrier is in the mix.
