THAT'S GOLD (4) got keyed up with a false start at Ellerslie last start, and then raced keenly during the running before weakening late and finishing a game third. He will probably go back this time from a wide gate, but if the tempo is genuine, then he can have the last say in this. BELLE TRIBUTE (2) was a big winner at Otaki fresh up, before finishing on late for seventh at Trentham last week when less than 2 lengths from the winner. She has 3kg less to carry this time, and she is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. STEAL MY THUNDER (1) made good progress during a spring campaign, and her recent freshen up would have done her no harm. She has had a tune-up trial, and she will be ready to rumble in this. Each way value. TINY DIAMOND (10) caught the eye with a tidy late finish at Trentham 5 weeks ago. Stick with him on his home track. DESERT MYSTIC (3) ran a much better race for second at Te Aroha 3 weeks ago. He is peaking now, and can go one better.
