KOMOCEAN (5) resumed from a long spell and crushed her rivals fresh up here on her home track by over 4 lengths. She strips fitter, and gets to stay in the same class with only an extra 2.5kg to carry. On top again. HANKEE ALPHA (9) showed plenty of talent as a 3-year-old, and since resuming from a spell, she has finished in the money twice as the favourite. She is peaking at the right time and will be the main threat to the top pick. ARCHAIC SMILE (1) ran some big races in decent fields during the spring, and was not far away in the G3 TAB Mile at Riccarton in November before having a spell. If she doesn't need the run, then she is well worth including in all combinations. BRAZEN AFFAIR (4) won 3 of his last 4 starts on the Cambridge poly track last year, but she also has good form on the turf. She has had a couple of tune-up trials and has not missed a cheque in 3 starts fresh up in the past. Each way. I'M ALL IN (2) resumes from a spell, and he can figure in the top 4 at value.
