Always a strong 3-y-o handicap. CIRCUS OF ROME shaped well in what was likely a good handicap at Sandown last month and might be worth chancing with the Richard Hughes team continuing in form. The Charlton stable has a good record in this race so Wave Rider has to be interest now moving into his first handicap on the back of 3 promising runs in novices over shorter trips. Asmen Warrior is another who has built a solid platform for handicaps and completes the shortlist.

Pinatubo colt made a winning debut at Southwell in December and better form when placed in conditions events at Kempton (1m) and over C&D this spring. An opening mark of 95 demands improvement but may not have reached his limit after 3 starts.

Wootton Bassett colt who confirmed debut promise when winning 13-runner maiden at Punchestown (1m, good) in September. 6¾ lengths fifth of 6 to to stablemate Delacroix in 1m Newmarket Group 3 on final 2-y-o start. A mark of 96 demands a smart performance but no surprise were he up to the task.

Half-brother to connections' Nashwa and made a winning start to career in a 1m Newmarket maiden last autumn. Beaten at short odds in 1m Southwell novice on reappearance but back on the up when 3 lengths second to Alpine Trail in 1¼m Newmarket listed race (good; Ernst Blofeld third) 15 days ago.

All 3 starts over 7f, finding the line coming just too soon in Wolverhampton novice on reappearance. Takes a big step up in trip here but he is sure to stay further and the yard's good record in this makes him a must for the shortlist. Hooded first time.

Runner-up twice at 2 and made all on return at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in March. Creditable start to handicap career when sixth of 12 at Sandown (1¼m, good to soft) 22 days ago, keeping on after not clear run. The third gave the form a boost when winning last weekend and he looks capable of better too.

Frankel colt who confirmed debut promise when off the mark in good style at Kempton (1¼m) last month. 6¼ lengths third of 4 to Alpine Trail in listed race at Newmarket (1¼m, good) 15 days ago, with reopposing Nebras 3 lengths ahead in second. Remains capable of better now switching to a handicap.
