The progressive and unexposed REMMOOZ was a fine third in a valuable, big-field York handicap last month and he could be the answer. The Blue Point colt wasn't disgraced when fourth in the Jersey at Royal Ascot earlier this season, proving that he is capable of mixing it at a higher level, and he has evidently improved since. Volterra probably needed the run in France when returning from a three-month break and he'll be a major threat if back to his best, while Spy Chief also has claims.

Useful gelding. Latest win at Baden-Baden in May. 2½ lengths second of 7 to Geography in Oettingen Rennen at Baden-Baden (8f, good) 12 days ago, left with too much to do. Looks vulnerable under a penalty.

Smart gelding. Seven wins from 21 Flat runs. 3 wins from 6 runs this year. Creditable 3¼ lengths third of 9 to Lethal Levi in listed race at Newmarket (6f, good to firm, 9/1) 28 days ago. Likely to find one or two too good on these terms.

Smart colt. 67/10, 5¾ lengths eighth of 11 to Dreamliner in Prix Quincey at Deauville (8f, good) 20 days ago, not clear run. Solid claims judged on his excellent third in the Group 3 John of Gaunt Stakes on return at Haydock.

Promising type. 3 wins from 5 runs this year. Latest win at York in July. Good third of 17 in handicap at York (7.9f, good to firm, 7/2) 29 days ago. Remains open to improvement and should take this step back up in class in his stride.

Useful gelding. Winner at Yarmouth in June. 15/2, bit below form 7½ lengths sixth of 10 to More Thunder in Hungerford Stakes at this C&D (good to firm) 34 days ago, finding little. Would have every chance if reproducing the form of his solid third in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

Useful mare. 20/1, 5¾ lengths eighth of 12 to Sky Majesty in Ballyogan Stakes at Naas (5.9f, good to soft) 26 days ago, unable to sustain effort. This Irish raider looks up against it.
