A poor maiden to kick things off. MRS FLANDERS (8) returned a good figure when runner-up over this distance at Hawkesbury two back. Had a couple of things go wrong at Kembla last time so perhaps forgive that effort. Only needs to reproduce the Hawkesbury performance to give this a shake. MARIANA MISS (7) is the obvious danger on debut. Has trialled five times in the past 12 months, winning three of them. Seems to have enough talent to handle her rivals. FROGMORE (4) has not raced since failing on a heavy surface on debut at this track back in August. Draws the fence and deserves another chance on firmer ground. OCTOBER STAR (2) is a debutant who has showed ability at the trials, placing at his most recent appearance at Warwick Farm. Any market confidence should be respected. COSMONAUT (1) weakened after showing pace first-up at the Kensington track. Can improve in this inferior contest.
