OPERA BALLO confirmed the big impression he made earlier this year when scoring in listed company at Sandown last time and remains open to improvement. He can follow up. King of Cities never landed a blow in the French Derby but is much respected back down in grade here, while Royal Ascot scorer Arabian Story can also make his presence felt.

Promising sort who found further improvement, in first-time hood, when winning 7-runner listed race at Sandown (8f, good to soft, 5/4) 42 days ago. May have more to offer yet and is one for shortlist.

Smart colt who upped his game significantly when runner up in listed race on Rowley Course (9f) in April. Wasn't seen to best effect in Prix du Jockey Club since and must enter calculations back in trip here.

Highly tried and largely acquitted himself well this term, latest when fourth of 8 in Diomed Stakes (4/1) at Epsom (8.5f, good to soft) 33 days ago. Can't be ruled out.

Smart colt who has proved an entirely different proposition since racing in UK, latest when taking 30-runner Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot (8f, firm) 21 days ago, keeping on well. Looks well worth a crack in this higher grade.

Much improved this term, scoring at Lingfield before an impressive success in C&D novice (good to firm) 19 days ago. Asked a bigger question now but further progress may be on the cards.

Useful form when placed twice at Group level as a juvenile but has yet to reach that level in either start this term, albeit highly tried. Others more convincing.

Won 1 of his 3 starts last term and shaped encouragingly when third of 8 in handicap on Rowley Course (8f, good) on return 69 days ago. This is much tougher, however.

Useful for Sylvester Kirk at 2, including third in Chesham Stakes last summer. Made a positive start for new yard when fourth at Ascot in April but disappointed in Jersey Stakes since and this longer trip is not guaranteed to suit.
