Verdict

This is as open as the Sydney Heads. FURIOUS (4) returned from a seven-month spell last start and caught the eye with a closing fourth over 1200m on the main track here. Better placed out to this trip back in midweek company. Should give a great sight. QUEEN OF DRAGONS (8) travelled midfield but ran out of condition and finished well back when resuming here at this distance on ANZAC Day. Never fires when fresh but has a fine second-up record so watch for sharp improvement. EDITED BY (1) was thirty-seven days between runs when a tiring sixth here at this trip recently. Fitter today and has won four of eight over seven furlongs. Can improve sharply. LINKS (16) has been about the mark in her two runs this prep in shorter races. Loves it wet and with a light weight is worth a small investment at silly odds. POWERFUL PEG (12) can improve second-up over more ground back at the midweekers.
