APPLAUD (4) warmed up late in a solid rating contest when a narrow fifth over 1400m at this track. Deep into the prep and expect to see him close strongly with J Mac aboard. Go close. BUNDEENA (3) almost pinched it at the big odds when a fighting second over this track and trip at latest. Can slide across from the draw and has genuine top-three claims. HIGHWAY STRIP (11) talented gelding who resumes with the one trial. Failed to get into the contest when thirteenth over this trip in the Kosciuszko last October. Makes plenty of appeal with the 53kg. Blinkers off and will be charging late. GATSBY'S (1) unreliable gelding who returned for the new yard with a pass mark when seventh over 1100m at this track. Maps well and don't dismiss. ZARAGOZA (8) desperately close to a win and looks up to this stiffer test with the weight relief.
