BELEGATO (3) ran a cracking race first up in the Listed Mick Dittman then franked that form with a tough win over 1110m at Doomben last start. Given a six-week reset since that run. Just needs a bit of luck from the wide draw to be right in the finish. OVERFULL (11) opened this prep with a game fourth in the Listed Denise's Joy at Scone before another cheeky effort at Rosehill last start. Rarely runs a bad race and this looks an ideal assignment. LEAD ME ON (12) came from the clouds to get up for third behind Belegato when returning from a year on the sidelines recently. Coming back in trip is a small question mark but if he can improve off that first-up effort this is certainly within reach. GIN A TONIC (4) continued his outstanding recent form when edged out over 1110m at Doomben last start. Definite contender with the help of the inside gate. Last start stakes winner COSMIC FIRE (1) has a few things against him today but his class will go a long way.
