FRENCH DOLL (4) was sent for a well-earned spell after winning her last 3 starts on the bounce, the most recent of those at Trentham in May. She has had 2 trials this season and will be ready to rumble fresh up. PROCUL BOY (2) showed any amount of ability in his first prep when winning 3 of his 4 starts. He is only lightly tried for a 6-year-old gelding, and his best has yet to come. Don't risk him. OMEGA BOY (3) made progress last season and is resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He cops a wide gate, but comes to hand quickly, and should be thereabouts. THOOZA (7) knuckled down late when finishing second by a short-head at Te Rapa 5 weeks ago. The extra furlong will help her, and with plenty of time to get over her last run, she is set to go one better here. ZA SPIRIT (8) is a consistent mare when fit, and she won her last race by a nose before having a well-earned spell. She comes to hand quickly and has to be respected, especially if she is backed.
