ZENAZED (13) is a promising mare who found winning form when stepped up to a middle distance during her initial prep which yielded a brace of wins at the back end of that campaign. She will be stronger now, and though she is fresh from a long spell without a trial, she is racing over a mile, so she must have done plenty of work. Don't risk her. SHEEZ DOMINANT (12) capped off some improving form with an easy poly track win at Awapuni nearly 7 weeks ago. She has trialled since then, and can repeat the dose. ISLAND HOP (2) resumes from a brief spell and looked right up to the mark when winning a recent Foxton trial. He won his only start here, and even though he is getting long in the tooth, he can figure in the top 3. JOAN'S JOKER (9) had an excuse at Waverley last time out, and his win fresh up at Otaki is the guide to use. Stick with him. STEAL MY THUNDER (8) was back in this class last time out and found the frame, finishing third. A good draw will see her in the finish again.
