LAKE NAGAMBIE (1) is a locally trained gelding who won a trial here before finishing second on debut over 1000m. The extra furlong is ideal, and he won't be in this grade for long. HELLO LOVELY (9) was in the top 3 in all of her starts last prep and will be resuming as a much stronger filly this time in work. She was fourth in a recent trial and will be among the hardest to beat in this. DASHING BASICS (2) did a good job when leading for a long way on debut at Ipswich and finishing third. He will naturally improve with the experience, and has the scope to go on with it. Each way. VORKUTA (8) settled handy to the pace before hitting the front early in the home straight here nearly 2 weeks ago, before being caught on the line and finishing second by a nose. Stick with him.
