MCKHAN (1) improved last time out second up from a spell, finishing just half a length behind the winner in third over 1600m at Whanganui after being prominent on the turn. Well-placed to take this out. TAI (7) showed early speed and led into the straight last start before battling on to finish third, 2 lengths behind, over 2100m at Otaki. Likely to go forward and give them something to peg back again. IDENTIKIT (5) missed out two starts back and then was 3.5 lengths away in seventh over 2100m at Otaki two weeks ago after being in contention around the corner. She has the ability and is a strong each-way chance in this field. SO CALL ME (6) finished 3 lengths back in sixth over 2100m at Otaki last time. He has won 3 times on this track and is a tough customer when fit. Stick with him. JUST CHARLIE (2) ran mid-pack last start on a heavy track at Whanganui. Stepping up in distance today will help, and he won't be far away.
