WITZ END (6) hasn’t raced since finishing second over 1600m at Te Rapa on May 24. He’s won twice when fresh and is good enough to take this out fresh up. SLIPPER ISLAND (5) resumes after ending his last campaign in brilliant form with four straight wins, the latest over 1200m at this track on April 12. He excels at this distance on this track, boasting five wins and a minor placing from six starts, making him a key player in a nice field.
