NOBLE STEED (4) looks the one to beat. He stepped up to 2400m last time at Bendigo and was turned over at $1.65 when finishing second and now comes back to 2000m, but this is a much easier race, up against a few horses who are going through the motions. Really only needs to hold his form to be breaking through. TAAJWAR (6) is the danger. Two career runs to date have been good, working home well for third at Echuca last time out over 1600m. Looks suited to 2000m now and must respect from the good draw for the McEvoy yard. FEDORA (8) made sharp improvement stepping up in trip second up at Ballarat, suggesting this sort of trip would be up his alley. Should be right there. MIGHTY MAC (3) was better last time at St Arnaud and can sneak into the finish with SAKER FALCON (9).
