The Busuttin/Young team could not have hoped to find a more suitable race for VALLE DI LUCE (7), who drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 1600m at Pakenham. Outdashed but got home well and looks suited by the extra ground. DELA BELLA (9) finished 2 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1600m at Pakenham after being prominent at the turn two weeks ago. Was runner-up the start prior and although comfortably held by the winner, she easily had the measure of SHARK PARK (11). He'll have come from that, though, and is in too good a stable to dismiss. PLASTIC DREAMS (3) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish eighth, beaten 9 lengths, last start over 2200m at Donald but might appreciate some weight relief here. MONEY WHEEL (2) ran an improved race up in trip last start, so might be even better with that run under the belt.
