This looks an excellent opportunity for BLUE CARPET, who shaped promisingly without being given a hard time on return/hurdles debut at Chepstow (2m) 21 days ago and there's surely a good deal more to come from Dan Skelton's charge on that evidence. Fellow bumper winner Ballylicky Bay may emerge as the chief danger in receipt of weight all round.

Verdict6-y-o who had missed the best part of 2 years (also had wind surgery) prior to finishing fifth in a Newcastle bumper (16.9f) in March. However, made a much better fist of things with a tongue strap added when third over same C&D a month later. Goes hurdling now and more likely needed.
