THE FLYING POET shaped well in chasing home an exceptionally well-treated rival over C&D when last seen 50 days ago and, remaining with a good deal of untapped potential over staying trips, Olly Murphy's 6-y-o makes plenty of appeal from this sort of mark. That said, Just Chasing May comes here in search of a hat-trick following facile victories over hurdles/fences here in recent months and ought to give him plenty to think about.

VerdictThrived over fences last summer, completing a Newton Abbot 4-timer in September. Form nosedived after but back on track when adding to his excellent record back there in May. Rare jumping lapse when falling in Summer Cup at Uttoxeter latest and much lower mark to work from returned to timber.

VerdictBounced back from a poor effort on belated first try over longer trip when winning 6-runner handicap hurdle at Bangor (23.2f, good) in July. However, had run of the race then and he only added to a patchy record when well beaten at Uttoxeter (20f) 6 weeks ago. Others preferred.

VerdictIn good form last autumn, recording a win over hurdles at Ludlow (23.8f). However, didn't return in same form during the spring and, having unseated on chase debut at Uttoxeter in July, she repeated the feat back over hurdles at Stratford (22f) 18 days ago. Looks opposable at present.
