In a lowly maiden ROUGE ANGEL (9) gets her chance. In the market on debut last start over 860m at Gatton and although she was swamped late to miss the placings she wasn't beaten far. Will take a lot from that experience and with less pressure up top today she looks a great chance to break through. MILITARY LEGEND (7) led in a different role last time out but faltered badly in the dying stages of a 1400m Gold Coast maiden. Very fit and worth another chance coming back in trip. TORQUE SO HOT (1) last raced when beaten under a length over 1310m at Lismore in December. Trialling in good style and only needs to handle the going to be a key contender. AKKU (3) failed last start when attempting 1400m for the first time. Previous form was good enough for her to be competitive here. BILLILICIOUS (4) struggled first-up over 860m at Gatton but can improve out to this trip.
