AARDVARK (2) bolted in at this track and trip two back before proving too good again last start over 1000m, winning by 2.1L. He's 2/2 at this track and trip and things look to work out perfectly for him again today. Carries the big weight, but he's a classy customer and he can keep the winning streak alive. WEAPONS HOT (8) has disappointed his past couple, but he was in good form prior to that. Getting back to 1200m now won't be an issue and the inside draw means he'll sit much closer, which usually sees him at his best form. Can bounce back in a big way. DEVILS I (6) produced a reasonable effort when second last start over 1000m at this track. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Worth another chance. SIMPLY ROSSO (7) started at $10 last time and ran below expectations, finishing seventh at this track over 1200m after being in contention on the bend. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the key runners. CORN COB (1) can't be discounted.
