Competitive clash for the staying types on a Derby/Oaks path. LEPOLO (2) sat back and proved far too good at Sandown Hillside last time, scoring by 3.5 lengths over CIGNETTI (3), who started favourite but had no luck at all when bottled away in run. Doubt Cignetti would've won but the price differential does look significant now given Cignetti should be on speed. SKUA (7) beat home MISS WAITITI (14) in a solid maiden win at Seymour last time out. The 2nd horse has won well since and fancy a stronger staying test up to 1800m here will suit both nicely. ARAGOG (4) placed second by 0.8 lengths last start when first up at this track and expected to go forward here, can find the frame.
