Verdict

Tough race to finish a huge carnival. EDUCATED (6) is a handy mare who won well at Seymour last time out as favourite. She'll be up on speed and is already proven down the straight. Middle draw, she should be able to track a path to the best ground and take catching. VERDOUX (1) hasn't had any luck his past two, including on Saturday in the G3 Rising Fast on Saturday as a 50/1 hope. Drops in grade (hence the hefty weight) and even luck can see him bounce back. KING TUT (9) looks the best 'value' at double figures. He got too far back at Caulfield first up but rattled the best final split of the meeting and that form has stood up over Cup week. Love the wide draw for him down the straight. LAWBOROUGH (19) won well at Bendigo last time and was right in the finish of the Caulfield form reference prior so goes in everything. ESMAHLI (2) chased home Hankee Alpha here two back which is good form then won well as expected at Cranbourne. Respecting.
