Verdict

HOT MAJESTY (1) profiles strongly after two solid runs at Eagle Farm. Stripping fitter fourth-up, the rise in trip shouldn't bother and McColm's 3kg claim is a big help. Bold showing anticipated. SLIPSAIN (3) poses a real threat, having beaten Hot Majesty home last start despite a slow start and struggling to clear traffic, but now concedes a 4.5kg swing. Expecting Du Plessis to be more positive from the better draw and try to keep him out of trouble. DOWN UNDER STUNNAH (5) returns from Saturday company and boasts a good record over this track and trip. Has done his best work late in his two runs back and is ready for the rise in trip. INDAMOUSE (2) was impressive in his maiden win at the Sunny Coast with Michael Rodd aboard, but this is obviously tougher and he's untested at the trip. Keeping safe.

Broke through decisively in a Mdn over 1800m at Sunshine Coast, beating Blood Red by just over five lengths as a short odds-on favourite. Two back he made solid inroads from well back when fifth to Zweigelt at Eagle Farm after racing keenly early. Stronger test now at 1965m, but he has place claims.

Was only fourth as a well-supported favourite in a BM78 over 1800m at Eagle Farm, but he jumped awkwardly and was steadied late when beaten just under two lengths by Becamo. He had also been third in NMW grade on soft ground, and six starts around 1965m have produced two wins and two placings. Easier company and a proven 1965m profile make him the one to beat.

    Verdict
Produced the key counterpoint to the favourite when third in a BM78 over 1800m at Eagle Farm, beaten just under a length after beginning slowly and having trouble getting clear from the 200m. He had been a beaten favourite at Doomben the run prior, but his broader campaign is consistent and he has placed four times from four rides with Mark Du Plessis. New 1965m is the query, but the form ties in strongly.

Eases back from Saturday company after finishing seventh in a Class 3 over 1820m at Eagle Farm, beaten just under four lengths on soft ground. She was also sound at Doomben two back when fifth in a BM65 at generous odds, making ground from midfield. Third-up setup suits, putting her firmly in the place mix.

Steps into a harder meeting after a country BM58 sixth at Grafton, where she was beaten just under eight lengths and only fair through the line. Her previous BM65 fifth at Beaudesert was also plain, beaten just over nine lengths after not quickening. Others bring stronger current figures.

    Verdict
Returns on a quick back-up after finishing seventh in a BM58 at this venue, beaten over 13 lengths after making no impression late at big odds. The run prior was no better on paper, ninth in a BM50 at Goondiwindi and beaten over 14 lengths, although he raced wide throughout. Must lift sharply.
