FIFTH ESSENCE (1) steps out to the mile today which is a big tick for his chances, leading and being gunned down at Belmont most recently. CJP rides now and the inside draw is a big help after drawing out his past couple. Can find the front and be very tough to reel in. MORE LIKELY (6) has built some good foundations over 1300m to begin this campaign and looks primed for a bold showing out to the mile now. He maps to get a lovely run just off the speed and is a track and trip winner in the past. Faithfull sticks and he appears the main danger. MIDNIGHT STAR (7) finished off nicely from the back first-up over 1300m as the race favourite and looks well placed out to this trip now. Fiore hopping on board is a good push for her chances and while she may end up back in the run, watch for her flying late. DECORATION (2) was too good at Northam last start and won't be far away. BLOOD BROTHER (5) showed he was in for a good campaign fresh and he can build on that effort.
