Verdict

TAZIMA (5) not too sure where his ceiling is after winning at his last three starts in good style. Races best with his runs spaced and looks ready for this company with J Mac aboard. Comes up with the inside marble and should justify the favouritism. POISON CHALICE (11) ready for the 1800m fourth-up and will appreciate a firmer surface. Presented at the right time but failed to close off with the 61kg when fifth over 1600m at this track. Hard to beat in this contest with the 53kg. Value contender. MATUSALEM (6) stays in the mix. Loved the big closing effort first up and just hummed around behind them in a recent trial. Clearly in great order and while he hasn't done a lot of winning in recent times he is as good (maybe better) than ever.
